Wissahickon School District appoints new Business Administrator

The Wissahickon School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Timothy W. Bricker as the district’s new Business Administrator.

Mr. Bricker was approved at the School Board meeting on April 2 and will begin his position in July, replacing Wade Coleman, who has been Wissahickon’s Business Administrator since 2009.

Mr. Bricker brings 27 years of directly applicable financial experience to Wiss Nation, spanning the banking, real estate, and financial services arenas. An ’86 graduate of Wissahickon High School, he has most recently served as the Director of Business Services for the Methacton School District since 2017, where he managed the budgeting process for seven buildings and 14 departments, with an overall budget of over $130 million.

In his role, Mr. Bricker helped increase the Capital Project Fund to accomplish important facility maintenance projects and meet critical long-term facility needs of the district, while saving the interest costs associated with borrowing money. Additionally, he provided managerial oversight for the Transportation, Facilities and Food Services departments.

He is credited with developing more effective and timely transportation for students and exploring cost-saving measures associated with electric vehicles.

Prior to working at Methacton School District, Mr. Bricker served as President of TL Services, LLC, Senior Vice President of Workout and Tax Liens at Royal Bank America, and Managing Director of Portfolio Management for RBA Capital, LP, among other financial services positions. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance and Marketing at Elizabethtown College and his master’s degree (MBA) at Regis University. Over the last 15 years, Mr. Bricker has also served as a head coach and assistant coach for his sons’ recreational teams and travel baseball teams.

“I am really excited about the energy and expertise that Mr. Bricker will bring to Wiss Nation, and especially proud to have one of our graduates serve on the senior leadership team,” said Dr. James A. Crisfield, Superintendent of Schools. “Tim is a seasoned professional whose leadership skills, financial acumen, and in-depth knowledge of school district operations will serve our school community well.  He has very big shoes to fill, as Mr. Coleman has done an outstanding job over the past 15 years, cementing his reputation of one of the best Business Managers in the entire Commonwealth, which is why we’re so happy to have somebody like Mr. Bricker coming to Wiss Nation.  His experience and leadership style will fit right in and keep us moving forward, meeting the ever-changing needs of our students in the most cost-effective way possible.”
