Wissahickon School District to have a two-hour delay on the day following Super Bowl

The Philadelphia Eagles are in the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 12th, which has a start time of 6:30 p.m. With an extended half-time show, the game isn’t expected to end until sometime between 9:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Due to this, the Wissahickon School District has announced that schools will have a two-hour delay on Monday, December 13th. Below is the announcement.

We are proud of our hometown Eagles, and excited to watch them in Super Bowl LVII on the night of February 12, 2023.  In order to enable all our students, of all ages, to more easily watch the entire game, and in order to give all our valued staff members across the entire Wissahickon school district operation a chance to do the same, there will be a TWO HOUR DELAYED OPENING FOR ALL SCHOOLS ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2023.  All staff will follow their normal delayed opening procedures.
