The Wissahickon School District announced that Noah Johnson, a senior, received Student of the Quarter recognition from the Blue Bell Rotary.
According to their announcement, Johnson was nominated by high school counselor Marissa Samit for displaying good citizenship, ethics, honor, and kindness.
“Noah is a volunteer firefighter at Centre Square Fire Company and a nationally certified EMT with Plymouth Community Ambulance Association,” the district said in a post. “He likes making a difference on every call as well as participating in community outreach. At WHS, Noah is also a member of Key Club and Interact Club, and has participated in Wiss Link and Wiss Pals. These clubs serve both the school and local communities.”
“True leadership is not about being in charge or taking credit, but rather is about empowering others, lifting people up, and showing them that when we work together, we can achieve so much more,” said Noah during his speech to the Blue Bell Rotary Club. “The power of our community lies in all of us.”
In related news, the district is welcoming incoming kindergarteners for the 2025-2026 school year.

- Kindergarten Interviews: In the spring (March 10-April 11, 2025), WSD invites registered kindergarten students to their school to participate in our kindergarten interview process, which is an opportunity for a kindergarten teacher, reading specialist, or school counselor to meet with and learn more about your child in preparation for the start of the school year.
