Gov. Shapiro held a joint rally Monday at Wissahickon High School

NBC News reported that Governors Josh Shapiro and Gretchen Whitmer held a joint rally today around 5:00pm at Wissahickon High School in Ambler.

The rally reportedly drew a crowd of more than 1,000 as either governor could become Kamala Harris’ Vice President.

“It is so good to be home. This is the community where I went out and knocked on 18,000 doors in my neighborhoods of Abington and Upper Dublin,” Shapiro said. “This is the community that taught me about three simple letters of the alphabet — G,S, and D. We focus on Getting (expletive) Done here in the commonwealth.”.

“How good is Josh Shapiro?” Whitmer said. “Well, he’s gotten a heck of a lot done in just over … the last year and a half. And it’s another example of Democratic governors who believe in our three-part strategy: Get s— done.”

According to the Washington Post, the governors “spent the afternoon blasting Trump and his running mate, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, as self-interested, out-of-touch and destructive.”

“He is dangerous, he is destructive, and the guardrails are off,” Shapiro said of Trump. “And here’s the other thing: He’s told us what he wants to do. Y’all, go crack open that whole Project 2025 thing. Go take a look at what his buddies and all his former staff wrote. … It’s really scary.”

According to NBC, Shapiro also mocked Trump by hugging a flag.
