Upper Dublin Township has announced that the Upper Dublin Community Pool will close on Sunday, August 17th, due to staffing issues. Most of the pool’s staff, who work seasonally, are scheduled to start or return to college for the fall semester. The township also shared that while it intends to be open on August 17th, it may need to close that entire weekend or operate on a reduced schedule. Historically, the pool has been open through Labor Day weekend.

From the announcement:

“This was not an easy decision. Our Parks & Recreation team explored every option to maintain weekend operations through the summer but ultimately could not secure the staffing needed to do so safely and responsibly.”

The township also shared that it is working towards resolving these staffing issues for the 2026 season.
