Act II Playhouse in Ambler has announced that its latest production, “An Act of God” by David Javerbaum, will premiere on Friday, August 9 and continue through Sunday, September 8. Previews begin August 6.

The Act II production stars 3-time Barrymore Award-winner Tony Braithwaite as God. High demand extended the original curtain call of September 1 one week later, Broadway World said.

The performance runs approximately 70 minutes without an intermission and contains some strong language.

Tony Braithwaite stars in this divinely outrageous comedy taking on his most challenging role yet: the Almighty Himself!  God has returned to Earth to update and improve his Ten Commandments and to set the record straight on a couple of things. And he’ll do it all from the stage at Act II Playhouse in 90 minutes or less.
