The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board license database shows a pending brewery license for 12 South Ridge Avenue in Ambler. The license is for Twisted Gingers Brewery, which is based in Manayunk and was founded in 2020. The brewery is owned by Mark Mayer.

In Ambler, the brewery will be part of a “Reading Terminal” type market that will feature approximately a dozen vendors and spaces for events and other activities.

The property was acquired by DeCastro Enterprises in 2023. Property owner Daniel DeCastro is also behind the successful rehab of a warehouse and industrial space into the Main Street Annex at 245 North Main Street in Ambler. The Main Street Annex is now home to Forest & Main Brewing Company’s brewing operation and taproom, along with a variety of artisans and other producers.

DeCastro declined to offer more details on the project.
