Copihue Bakehouse, a Chilean-inspired bakery located at 58 E Butler Avenue in Ambler, opened for business in September.
From their website:
Hi, I’m Cote — cake artist, Chilean baker, and all-around art enthusiast. I came to the U.S. from Chile as a kid, grew up in the bustle of New York, made a stop in Lansdale, and spent 15 unforgettable years in South Philly. I’ve always loved making things with my hands, but it wasn’t until a much-needed lightbulb moment in my late twenties that I realized cake wasn’t just dessert — it was it. My thing. My sweet spot.
During the pandemic, I found my way back to my roots through the flavors of Chile — empanadas, mil hojas, pie de limóns, kuchens — each one a little taste of home. That love only grew stronger, especially while working with the incredible Ange Branca of Philly’s famed Kampar. Her passion and generosity lit a fire in me. Now, I’m proud to share a slice of Chile here in Ambler, with a bakery that blends my heritage and my obsession with baking into every bite.
No formal training. Just an obsession with flavor, a love for design, and a mission to make people feel celebrated — whether it’s through a glittery custom cake or a nostalgic pastry from home.
