Join us for our First Wednesday Film Discussion, an informal monthly discussion moderated by members of the Ambler Theater and Wissahickon Valley Public Library staff. Come out for the 1:30 show this Wednesday, January 9th and stick around after the screening as we take a closer look at this true story of race and friendship, set against the backdrop of the American south in the 1960s. Already seen the film? Feel free to join us following the screening at 3:45pm for our discussion. Green Book d: Peter Farrelly Mahershala Ali and Viggo Mortensen star in this uplifting drama about a dignified African-American pianist who hires a rough-edged Italian-American bouncer to chauffeur him across the American South in the 1960s. Based on the true story of Don Shirley, GREEN BOOK is an exploration of race and friendship elevated by two exceptional performances, which bring the right touch of humor to a serious subject.
