Ft. Washington Holiday Inn Back In Business

After 10 months of renovations, the former Holiday Inn of Ft. Washington is back in business as the Holiday Inn and Express and Suites. Originally built in 1975, after a 12 million dollar rehab the property is as good as new…even better.

From the Ambler Gazette:

The entire hotel had a makeover with complete renovation of the guest rooms, lobby, pool and parking lot, which has been resurfaced and reconfigured with new landscaping, Director of Sales Alicia Raffensberger said. The exterior façade was also upgraded with all new windows.

“There’s a big emphasis on natural light,” she said, adding that the windows are quadruple glass to drown out any sounds from Pennsylvania Avenue in the front and the SEPTA Regional Rail line, which is behind the hotel. A county walking trail was completed and paved to provide a path to the nearby Fort Washington Train Station, she said.

The hotel has a 168 guest rooms, 77 of which are suites. Rates go from $139 to $199 per night.
