Gwynedd Mercy University will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of the Frances M. Maguire ’55 Healthcare Innovation Center on Wednesday, September 24 at 2:15pm.

The 63,000-square-foot academic facility was made possible by a $10 million gift from the Maguire Foundation. The HIC is now the largest academic building on campus and features simulation labs, interdisciplinary spaces, and cutting-edge technology.

University officials announced in February that the HIC will also house the Jie Du, PhD Healthcare Innovation Commons.

The event will also mark the first day of Where Color Meets Compassion, an art exhibition commemorating the work of artist and alumna Frances M. Maguire, ’55 in celebration of the HIC’s opening.
