During its February 24th meeting, the Lower Gwynedd Township’s Board of Supervisors voted 4 to 1 to hold Pike Fest on Sunday, September 13th on Bethlehem Pike.
The event has been held on a Saturday in previous years. This year a few business owners asked that the event be moved off Bethlehem Pike or switched to a Sunday so it would lessen the impact on their business.
Voting for the change was Mark Grey (R), Danielle A. Duckett (D), Edward J. Brandt (R) and Tessie McNeely (D). The lone dissenting vote was Kathleen Hunsicker (R) who advocated for the event to remain on Saturday.
As AroundAmbler.com reported last week, the co-chairs of the event have resigned. We have not yet learned if there is new leadership to produce the event.
More to come.
