Montgomery County Sheriff Sean P. Kilkenny and Chief Deputy Michael Beaty swore in two new Sheriff’s deputies the other day, one of them a local.
Sylvester Gomes is a resident of Lower Gwynedd and a Montgomery County Community College Police Academy graduate. He has earned numerous awards as a U.S. Army National Guard infantry sergeant and is a graduate of Abington Senior High School.
Dep. Kayla Oelschlager, the other new deputy, is a graduate of Perkiomen High School and lives in Pennsburg.
