Because the Pennsylvania State Police are updating their statewide background check system for license to carry permits, no permits will be issued from May 31st to June 5th, 2017.

The system is estimated to be back up running by June 6th. During the time of the shutdown, you can drop off or pick up permit applications at the Montgomery County Sheriff’s office.
