In regards to reopening. All of Southeastern Pennsylvania, including Montgomery County, is in the red phase. To move to the yellow phase, which loosens the restrictions put in place due to the pandemic, the average daily number of positive cases needs to average 30 over 14 days. In the above graph created by Montgomery County, the blue bars represent the daily positive test totals. The grey line is the average. Today the 14-day average is 110.2, which is 80.2 from the goal of 30. Over the last 14-days, the average number of daily positive test results went down 18.8.
These numbers represent all positive test results, so they include those from long-term care facilities which some counties are pushing to not include. Montgomery County Commissioner Dr. Val Arkoosh has stated that she believes that data from long-term care facilities should be included. Please note that MoreThanTheCurve.com added the red line and the two red circles to the county’s chart.
