Penn Medicine will be developing a $7.5 million, 12-acre parcel of land for a new multi-specialty outpatient care center in Montgomeryville, the Philadelphia Business Journal reported.
The healthcare company purchased the land in November from HRD Investments LLC and is proposing a four-story facility with 150,000 square feet of space and an adjoining parking garage.
Penn Medicine Montgomeryville, to be located at 200 Dekalb Pike, is expected to provide primary care, women’s health, heart care, lab testing, radiology imaging, radiation and infusion therapy for cancer patients, outpatient surgery and urgent care.
A Penn Medicine spokesperson told the Journal that construction dates and plans are forthcoming.
Montgomery Township Manager Carolyn McCreary said the project was approved in early fall. In September 2022, the Montgomery Township Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a zoning ordinance amendment to allow ambulatory health care centers as a conditional use for the site following a public hearing, the Journal said.
