Quadir Lavar Maxey, 23, of the 100 block of Linden Avenue, Glenside, was recently sent to jail for carrying un unlicensed firearm in Lower Gwynedd Township.

Maxey was detained by police after an incident in November 2022 when Lower Gywnedd police observed Maxey walking along the 1000 block of DeKalb Pike. During his interaction with the police, an officer determined that an active warrant for Maxey existed in Philadelphia, and after a search, police found a 9mm handgun with an extended magazine on Maxey’s person.

He was sentenced to 6 to 23 months after pleading guilty to a felony charge.
