Rev. George Weldon, first-ever Upper Dublin Police Chaplain, receives Respect for Law Outstanding Service Award

On Monday, June 10, Reverend George Weldon was named a recipient of the Respect for Law Outstanding Service Award for his service as Chaplain for the Upper Dublin Township Police Department.

The honor came on behalf of the Lower Montco Optimist Club (LMOC). LMOC Co-President Collier and Co-President Epps were on hand to present Reverend Weldon with the recognition.

“If you’ve ever met him, you already know that Reverend Weldon is an all-around great person. He is a huge asset to the UDPD and we cannot be more proud of the recognition he received for his work,” the police department said in a post.

Reverend Weldon graduated from the United Lutheran Seminary in Philadelphia in 2023 and was later appointed as the department’s first Chaplain.
