Temple Ambler’s Andrew Sargeant receives “30 under 30” and Global Ambassador honors

Andrew Sargeant, who graduated from Temple Ambler’s Tyler School of Art and Architecture program in 2016, was recently named to the University’s “30 under 30” list and recognized as a “Global Ambassador.”

Sargeant, who was born in Jamaica and received four academic scholarships, split time between Temple’s Main Campus and the Ambler Campus and its 187-acre Arboretum, and served as president of the Landscape Architecture and Horticulture Association.

“At Ambler, the professors did a great job of preparing us for careers after graduation, with plenty of hands-on design experiences that gave everyone a strong foundation with both plant material and how it all gets built,” he said.

Sargeant has built an award-winning exhibit at the Philadelphia Flower Show and has designed trails and other features to revitalize the abandoned Mount Moriah Cemetery in Southwest Philadelphia.
