Toll Brothers of Fort Washington has purchased a 47.92-acre parcel at 1336 Limekiln Pike in Ambler to build 34 single-family homes, The Philadelphia Business Journal reported.
Toll Brothers, which paid $11.73 million for the land, received approval from Horsham Township for the project in August 2025.
In addition to the homes, plans call for the preservation of an existing 2,700 sf historic residence on the site that dates back to 1850, The Journal said. From Horsham Township’s Planning Commission agenda dated August 2024:
The applicant, Worth Family Irrevocable Trust, is proposing the preservation and restoration of the existing historical structures on the property located at 1336 Limekiln Pike in conjunction with the development of the parcel for 34 new single-family dwellings. In accordance with the requirements for special exception approval, this application is being forwarded to the planning Commission to review the proposed changes to the parcel for their impact on the health, safety and welfare of the Township including, but not necessarily limited to, traffic impacts, water supply and sewerage.
According to Realtor.com, the purchase took place on August 12.
About four miles south, Pulte Homes is building Maple Glen Pointe, a 72-townhome community in Upper Dublin.
