UD’s Fire & Ice Festival announces setup details, road closure and parking restrictions

Upper Dublin’s Fire & Ice Festival, which will take place in the outdoor area of 801 Loch Alsh Avenue, recently announced road closures and parking restrictions on behalf of the event scheduled for Friday, February 24 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm and Saturday, February 25 from 3:00pm – 8:00pm.

Road closures and parking restrictions include:

  • NO PARKING on Loch Alsh Avenue from SPARK Drive to Fort Washington Avenue
    • Friday, February 24th at noon – Sunday, February 26th at 9:00 a.m.
  • ROAD CLOSURE on Loch Alsh Avenue from SPARK Drive to Field of Dreams access road
    • Friday, February 24th from 4:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • ROAD CLOSURE on Loch Alsh Avenue from SPARK Drive to Fort Washington Avenue
    • Saturday, February 25th from 12:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • ROAD CLOSURE on Fort Washington Avenue from Hawthorne Lane to Highland Avenue
    • Saturday, February 25th from 7:30 p.m. – 8:20 p.m. for the fireworks display*
      • *Note: in the event of inclement weather, the fireworks display will be rescheduled for Friday, February 24th at 8:50 p.m. and the Fort Washington Avenue closure will be from 8:30 p.m. – 9:20 p.m. Any schedule changes will be posted on the Township’s social media pages and website.

Setup for begins on Friday, February 24 at 8:00am. “No Parking” signs will be placed along Loch Alsh Avenue, and cones and barricades will mark off restricted parking/access areas. The Township Building parking lot will be cleared and closed from Friday, February 25 at 8:00am through Saturday, February 25 at 11:30pm.

On Saturday, February 25 at 7:50pm, Fire & Ice Fest will conclude with a 5-8-minute fireworks display. The fireworks will launch from the Loch Alsh fields. The “Firing Zone” will be caution taped off.
