Understaffed PennDOT hosting Hiring Event on July 17, looking to fill numerous positions

PennDOT Engineering District 6 in Montgomery County will be hosting a hiring event for Montgomery County Maintenance on Monday, July 17, from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Montco Maintenance Office: 2005 Swede Rd, Norristown.

According to Rep. Napoleon Nelson, PennDOT District 6 is understaffed and is experiencing an average vacancy rate of 39 percent.

Applicants may apply before the event and do not have to live in the same county as the maintenance facility to apply for positions with PennDOT.

Current openings with District 6 include:

  • Diesel and Construction Equipment Mechanic
  • CDL Operator Trainee
  • CDL Operator
