The Whitpain Township Zoning Hearing Board will continue hearing an application for a sober house at 813 Stonybrook Drive on Wednesday, April 24.

To re-cap, on May 25, 2018, applicant Jane Medvetz, by way of her daughter and Power of Attorney, Lisa Medvetz, filed a Zoning Application seeking certain zoning relief to facilitate a 9- person Sober House use on the property located at 813 Stonybrook Drive, within the Township’s R-1 Residence District. The meeting set for April 24th is at 6 p.m. at the Montgomery County Community College, 340 DeKalb Pike, Science Center Building – Room SC-213 (Science Center Theater). 

Please note the 6 p.m. start time is set in an effort to give ample time for public comment. The meeting must end by 9:45 to comply with Community College rules. An additional meeting will be scheduled if the hearing and public comment are not completed by the conclusion of the meeting.  

The Zoning Hearing Board began hearing the case at its January meeting and continued hearing it in February. As with other Zoning Hearing Board cases, the Township’s Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors also reviewed the case.
