Wissahickon School Board votes 6-3 on reopening plan

On Wednesday, July 23rd the all-Democratic Wissahickon School Board voted 6-3 on its reopening plan for the 2020-2021 school year. The vote was as follows:

Paul Badger – Yes
Marshall Bleedfeld – No
David Frank – Yes
Amy Ginsburg – No
Ronnie Hayman – No
Zeffy Karagiannakis – Yes
Ron Stoloff – Yes
Tracie Walsh – Yes (Vice President)
Joseph Antonio – Yes (President)

The board had originally intended to vote during its meeting on Monday, July 20th, but continued the meeting to Thursday. The reopening plan provides for the following options for parents/students (full details linked to below video):

Kindergarten to Fifth
Five days week in-school instruction or all-virtual

Sixth to Eighth
Students split into two groups and attend school on alternating days or all virtual

Ninth to Twelfth
Students split into two groups and attend school on alternating days or all virtual
