Wissahickon Trails will host a “Serve the Preserve at Camp Woods” clean-up event on Saturday, April 15 at 1:00pm at Camp Woods, located at the end of Mason Drive in Blue Bell.
The group will be planting beneficial species to transition a mowed field into a forest with better wildlife habitat. Tools and gloves will be provided, but you may bring your own gear as well. Participants will walk a short distance along a dirt trail to the planting site (less than 0.2 miles). Planting involves digging, hammering, kneeling, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
A rain date has been scheduled for Sunday, April 16th.
