Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association Asking for Help this Giving Tuesday for a New Bridge at Briar Hill Preserve

The Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association(WVWA) is asking for help in the form of donations this Giving Tuesday to help build a permanent new bridge at Briar Hill Preserve. WVWA writes:

Visitors to Briar Hill Preserve in Whitpain Township confront a challenge when entering the Preserve from Prophecy Creek Park. Without a bridge to cross the stream, trail users must cross the stream itself, which is steep, muddy, and wet. Unfortunately, foot traffic through the stream has caused streambank erosion. This #GivingTuesday we are asking for your help to build a permanent solution – a new bridge – that will keep trail users safe and protect the stream. Help WVWA raise $5,000 to build a new bridge at Briar Hill Preserve. Horseways PA will match your donation to meet the total cost of $10,000.
