Registration is open for art classes at the Art Center at Ambler. There are a series of classes scheduled to start in March that run for up to eight weeks. There is something for every age and skill level. Registration is available online.

35mm Camera and Cellphone Photography
This combined class will explain the settings of the 35mm digital camera and how to get proper exposures for better control of your photography, and how to use settings in your cell phone camera. We will discuss the different styles of photography and well-known photographers. Class assignments for better composition and how to format your photos for different social media cropping will be given. We’ll also cover downloading free camera software for computers, laptops, and your cell phones. Materials – A cellphone or 35 mm camera, and your imagination!

Ceramic Hand Building and Sculpture
Expand your creative spirit by playing with clay. Get comfortable with clay as a medium in hand building and sculpture. We will explore forms, texture, surface decoration and glazes. Dress to play! All skill levels and abilities are welcome.

Mosaics for Everyone!
Treat yourself! This might be the new experience you’ve been looking for! Ann can help you learn to make amazing things! You’ll come away with both a heartfelt creative experience and a beautiful piece of mosaic art. You’ll learn new skills to last a lifetime! Come and learn how to make and glaze ceramic tiles for your very own mounted and grouted mosaic piece. Make a trivet, a wall hanging, an address plaque or a small tabletop. Ann will be bringing templates for you to choose from. All basic materials are included.

The class is designed with both the beginner and advanced watercolorist in mind. It will cover everything you need to know to become more comfortable using watercolor! We will help you improve and achieve greater success with your watercolor techniques! Basics will be taught to beginners, and tips and tricks will be shared with the more advanced students.
