Ambler police release details of felony arrest (ongoing investigation) and an unlicensed firearm arrest

The Ambler Borough Police Department has released details of the following recent arrests:

Luzerne Faulkner (above left)

On the evening of Tuesday, March 19, several law enforcement agencies assisted Ambler police with serving a search warrant on the unit block of North Street.

During this search warrant, multiple items of evidence were seized to in regard to crimes in Philadelphia County and Ambler Borough.

As a result of this investigation, a felony arrest warrant for “Persons not to Possess Firearms” was obtained for Luzerne Faulkner 48, of the unit block of North Street in Ambler. 

On Friday, March 22, Faulkner was taken into custody in Monongolia County, West Virginia. He is awaiting extradition back to Pennsylvania, police said.

Nicholas Kemp (above right)

Officers stopped Nicholas Kemp, 31, for vehicle violations on Wednesday, March 13 on E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue. During the traffic stop, officers learned that Kemp was carrying a loaded firearm in his vehicle.

A records check revealed that Kemp did not have a valid license to carry. He was arrested on Saturday, March 16 via a warrant for the charges of Carrying a Firearm without a License, along with several vehicle code violations.

Kemp is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on April 19.
