Ambler, Upper Dublin, Whitpain to serve as drop-locations for Drug Take Back Day on Saturday

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office announced that 45 locations will serve as drop-off spots for Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 27 from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

The event allows residents to rid their homes of unwanted prescription and over-the-counter medications, officials said.

Locations in our area include:

  • Ambler Police Department, 131 Rosemary Ave., Ambler
  • Lower Gwynedd Township Police Department, 1130 N. Bethlehem Pike, Spring House
  • Upper Dublin Township Police Department, 520 Virginia Drive, Fort Washington
  • Whitpain Township Police Department, 960 Wentz Rd., Blue Bell

Accepted drop-offs include prescription and over-the-counter tablets and capsules, inhalers, creams, ointments, nasal sprays, pet medicines and vaping products. Not accepted are needles, liquid medications and intravenous or injectable solutions.

Since the Drug Take Back program began in 2010, more than 119,000 pounds of medicines have been collected and safely disposed of, officials said.
