Upper Dublin High School Class of 2020 graduates Matthew Jensen, Alyssa Breslin, and Elle Braun will each be vying for spots on the U.S. Olympic team this week as they head to Indianapolis for the U.S. Olympic trials.
Jensen, who recently graduated from California University, is currently ranked No. 16 in 100 butterfly, No. 20 in 100 breaststroke, No. 23 in 50 freestyle, and No. 27 in 100 freestyle. He previously swam at the 2021 U.S. Olympic Trials Wave I, placing 11th in 100m free (50.58) & 25th in the 100m fly (54.76).
Breslin, who recently graduated from Tennessee University, is ranked No. 21 in 800 freestyle and No. 22 in 1500 freestyle.
Braun, who recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin, is ranked No. 18 in 800 freestyle, No. 25 in 400 freestyle, No. 30 in 1500 freestyle, No. 48 in 200 freestyle.
A maximum of 52 swimmers can qualify for the U.S. Olympic team (26 men and 26 women). 1,007 qualified for the trials, which began yesterday at Lucas Oil Stadium. They will continue through Sunday, June 23.
