Upper Dublin’s Board of Commissioners to revive discussion on single-use plastic bag ban

On the January 9th agenda for Upper Dublin Township’s Board of Commissioners is a proposed ordinance that would ban single-use plastic bags. The issue was previously discussed by the commissioners, however, three issues remain to be finalized such as whether to include plastic straws and Styrofoam in the ban and the timing of the ban going into effect (to allow businesses to utilize existing inventory and notify customers).

You can find the current draft of the ordinance here.

The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 9th at 7:00 p.m.
