Whitpain Township recently received the 2024 Road and Bridge Safety Project Improvement Award for Pulaski Drive Bridge Replacement.
This statewide award was received during the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors (PSATS) Annual Education Conference in Hershey.
The total cost of the Pulaski Drive Bridge replacement was over $1.6 million. The Township received a grant through the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission to fund 80 percent of the work. The project replaced the old bridge, which was originally built in 1960.
