Are parks and trails open? We have the answer

It’s pretty nice outside, but with recent developments, people are at a loss for what to do and where to go. If being outdoors is your niche’, here are some options for you.

All the trails and parks in Lower Gwynedd are open, although the Community Building is closed. Park patrons are asked to use common sense and social distancing while enjoying the amenities.

All Upper Dublin Township parks and trails are currently open. The restrooms at Mondauk Common Park and SPARK are open with soap dispensers checked and stocked as needed. Although all the parks are open, Upper Dublin recommends keeping to the smaller parks to promote smaller crowds and social distancing.

We can’t find anything specifically addressing the parks being open on Whitpain Township’s website or social media, but we called the Township’s police department and they said they are still open.

All Ambler parks are open but none of the buildings in the parks are open.

Note that all the municipalities mentioned have canceled all programming and events.

The three state parks in Montgomery County are closed.
