A bear was spotted overnight on the campus of the Saint Helena School in Blue Bell. We haven’t authenticated the video’s source, but it appears to be a police officer shining a light on the bear from a vehicle.

We have reached out to the Whitpain Township Police Department about the status of the bear, but as of 9:50 a.m. have not yet received a response. We will provide an update when we speak with the department.

We did speak with Principal Denise Britt at the school and she said that they are keeping the students inside for the day.
