Developer proposes to covert former Saint John’s Lutheran Church into residential use

During its August 18th meeting, Ambler Borough Council will consider advertising a public hearing at which it will consider a zoning change for 24 North Ridge Avenue in Ambler.

The property is the former home of Saint John’s Lutheran Church. A developer, John’s Court, LLC, seeks to have the zoning changed for the property from Institutional to Residential-3. The zoning change is necessary because residential uses are not permitted within the Institutional zoning district.

John’s Court intends to convert the church and adjacent home into three residential units.

Ambler’s Planning Commission and the Montgomery County Planning Commission support the change.
