The next workshop in Weaver’s Way Co-op’s 2018 Nutrition Series is Bone Broth 101, which will be held on Saturday, March 10th from 12-1pm. This program is brought to you by the Weavers Way Neighborhood Nutrition Team, a group of nutritionists, dietitians and other wellness practitioners who are working together to bring nutrition inspiration and information to Weavers Way members. The Team aims to provide information and resources that empower members to make desired changes in their nutritional programs.

The workshop is free you are encouraged to REGISTER HERE.

Bone broths are rich in protein, minerals and gelatin. Having bone broths on hand in your kitchen is one of the best ways to make quick and nutritiously dense meals for you and your family.  In this demo & mini-workshop you will learn the secret to making a delicious broth and how to use it to braise vegetables, cook grains, make sauces and throw together weeknight meals that do not compromise on nutrition. Recipes included!

Bone Broth 101 will be led by Nutrition Team member, Beth Chiodo. Beth is an Ambler-based registered dietitian and certified wellness coach. Beth works in corporate wellness and also has a private practice (www.yourperfectbite.com). She does one-on-one nutrition counseling, gives seminars and cooking demonstrations, and helps execute other wellness offerings and workshops for the community. Beth specializes in medical nutrition therapy for various medical conditions, like diabetes and high blood pressure, and helps clients achieve a healthy relationship with food by exercising and incorporating mindfulness in their eating practices.
