Perkasie Porch Fest is this Saturday, April 29th. During the day (noon to 9:00 p.m.) there will be 80 bands performing at 40 locations throughout the town, all for free. Below are a few of the bands to keep an eye out for. You can find all the details of the event here.
Tubey Frank
Tubey Frank has been described as “bedroom pop”, “expansive folk” and “psychedelic garage rock”, but Josh Kirwin (TubeyFrank’s writer/artist) has uniquely paved his own way musically in his hometown of Philadelphia.
Love? said the Commander
Love? said the Commander is a duo from the “PhilaJersey” area that embraces maximal minimalism in order to create slow-burning indie-folk that’ll make ya feel stuff!
Slim and the Perkilators
Formed six years ago by veteran Pennsylvania Blues Hall of Fame guitar player Tim “the Perkolator” Perks and young harmonica ace Derek “Harmonica Slim” Matteson, the band have developed a sound that incorporates classic Chicago-style house rocking blues, west coast jump/swing, rock and roll and roots music that both engages and entertains audiences everywhere they play.
Green Knuckle Material
Green Knuckle Material (GKM) is a Bergen County-based indie rap rock band.
John DeRosa
John DeRosa is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, originally from Central NJ. He has performed with various musical groups from all over the country and was the former lead and rhythm guitar player for Platinum and Gold recording and songwriting Nashville artist, Jamie Teacheoner. DeRosa was the winner of the 2014 Lehigh Valley Soul Music Award and was nominated for Best New Song at the 2018 Lehigh Valley Music Awards.
Two Rocks Rye
Doylestown’s Two Rocks Rye is a rock band with blues and jazz infusions that is three parts Pennsylvania and one part New Zealand.
Red Hill Ramblers
Red Hill Ramblers is an original three-piece Rockabilly/Psychobilly band out of Red Hill. The band has released two full-length albums (2011’s Getting By and 2021’s Outlaw) along with a live Christmas album and singles along the way.
