Storm with ‘heavy precipitation’ possible this weekend, Code Blue weather emergency extended

A significant winter storm may come to our region this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

The storm is expected to make its way to greater Philadelphia early Saturday afternoon with a mix of rain and snow continuing through Sunday.


In related news, a Code Blue cold weather emergency has been extended for Montgomery County from Wednesday, January 3 at 10:00am and ending on Monday, January 8 at 9:00am.

During this time, either the temperature or the wind chill is expected to be below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
