Whitpain Township has received a $1.43 million grant to support the development of Wissahickon Park in West Ambler. 

The grant, from the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, will fund construction work on a pavilion, volleyball, bocce and horseshoe courts and playground equipment. The grant will also support a comfort station, parking areas and walkways at the park, located off Maple Street.
